Kakuro is a logic puzzle game, also known as Cross Sums, played in a grid of filled and barred cells, "black" and "white" respectively.
Kakuro can be very hard to solve but rules are quite easy. Kakuro has 3 different boxes :
- A clue box which has usually a number on the bottom and / or on the right side.
- A white blank box that is where you fill in numbers between 1 and 9.
- A block box that is the black box.
Rules
Place one digit from 1 to 9 in each empty box so that the sum of the digits in each set of consecutive white boxes(horizontal or vertical) is the number appearing to the left of a set or above the set. No number may appear more than once in any consecutive boxes.
Helpers
Kakuro offers your a first helper that is automatically enabled. When you touch a clue cell, an helper dialog is opened displaying sums that are possible for the number to find and the number of cells to fill.
Kakuro offers your 3 others kinds of helpers to make easier your grid's resolution :
- Highlight constraints row vertically and horizontally when you touch an empty cell.
- Highlight repeated digits in a constrained row vertically or horizontally.
- Dynamic clues to update the values of clues when you enter digit in a number of row horizontally or vertically.
These helpers must be enabled in Prefs screen.
Leaderboards
Kakuro is fully integrated with Google Play Games to provide you world global leaderboards. A lot of leaderboards are available that let you to know best resolution for each type of grid and number of moves used to solve. A general leaderboard is also available to know players that mark the most points by playing to Kakuro. Good luck to be the best !
Achievements
With its integration with Google Play Games, Kakuro offers you a lot of achievements to unlock when you play.
Records
Google Play Games log in is not mandatory to play to Kakuro, so if you want just to play to Kakuro and keep your scores and achievemens locally, you can. A record dialog would let you to know your best resolution times.
